After Milano Cortina 2026, the Olympic flame heads for the French Alps. From 1 to 17 February 2030, the French Alps 2030 Winter Olympic Games will light up Savoie, Haute-Savoie and the Hautes-Alpes, followed by the Paralympic Games from 1 to 10 March 2030.

French Alps 2030: the Games return to Savoie
Almost forty years after Albertville 1992, the Winter Olympics are coming back to the French Alps. Competitions will be spread across several hubs: Savoie for alpine skiing, bobsleigh, luge and skeleton, Haute-Savoie for cross-country skiing and biathlon, the Briançon area for freestyle and snowboarding, and Lyon for ice sports.
In Savoie, alpine skiing will be shared between Val d’Isère for the technical events (slalom and giant slalom) and Courchevel for the speed events. A fine continuity for the resort, which already hosted ski jumping in 1992 and co-organised the 2023 Alpine World Ski Championships with Méribel.
The Paralympic Games will extend the celebration in March 2030, including para alpine skiing and para snowboard in Savoie.
